Welcome to the Karuta Alley Market. To ensure the best possible experience for all of our attendees, you agree to conduct yourself according to all applicable laws as well as all of the rules, guidelines and policies of the Telus Convention Centre ("TCC"), including those listed below, and those posted within Karuta Alley Market (collectively, the "Rules").
Your access to or attendance at Karuta Alley Market is conditional on your acceptance of these Karuta Alley Market Terms of Entry (the "Terms of Entry") as well as all other Rules. Do not enter Karuta Alley Market if you do not agree to these Terms of Entry.

We reserve the right not to allow any bag, parcel or other items to be brought into Karuta Alley Market, and to deal with any unattended object in such a way as we consider appropriate. Prohibited items should be kept at home, stored in your vehicle, or can be voluntarily surrendered at the entrance. Surrendered items will not be returned.
Please show common courtesy to fellow Karuta Alley Market attendees, volunteers and employees by not using profanity or engaging in unsafe, illegal, disruptive or offensive behaviour. Any form of verbal or physical abuse towards fellow Karuta Alley Market attendees, volunteers, employees or vendors will not be tolerated and will be grounds for immediate removal from Karuta Alley Market.
For the comfort of all attendees, smoking of tobacco, e-cigarettes or other products that produce vapour or smoke is permitted in designated smoking areas. Marijuana (for medical purposes or otherwise) and illegal drugs may NOT be consumed on Karuta Alley Market/Telus Convention Centre property.
In keeping with our family-friendly atmosphere, proper attire, including shoes and shirts, must be worn at all times. Clothing with rude, vulgar, offensive language or graphics and images/emblems that can be identified as gang colours are not permitted. These items of clothing must be removed or turned inside-out. If in doing so the results do not meet the Karuta Alley Market’s Terms of Entry, you may be asked to leave TCC Property.
Bikini/bathing suit tops must be covered up while on Karuta Alley Market. Sheer, mesh and see-through clothing cannot be used as a cover-up over bathing suits.
Laws prohibiting consumption of alcoholic beverages by minors, illegal drugs, and disorderly conduct of any kind will be strictly enforced. All attendees are encouraged to drink responsibly. Please don’t drink and drive.
We endeavour to make your time at Karuta Alley Market as safe and enjoyable as possible. Nevertheless, please be aware that there are risks inherent to your visit. Attendees voluntarily assume all risks and dangers connected to, associated with or incidental to their presence at Karuta Alley Market. Attendees hereby waive and release all claims or actions against the TCC or any of its sponsors, as well as against any of the respective affiliates, directors, officers, employees and volunteers of the TCC or its sponsors, for any loss, injury (including personal injury), damages or liability that may arise out of or is any way connected to the attendee’s attendance at Karuta Alley Market, regardless of whether such loss, injury, damages or liability arises from negligence, libel, defamation, loss of privacy, COVID-19, or otherwise.
We may photograph, film, videotape, record or otherwise reproduce the image and/or voice of any person who enters Karuta Alley Market and/or attends Karuta Alley Market produced events and use the same for any purpose without payment to any person.
You consent to be photographed, filmed and/or otherwise recorded in connection with, or as part of, Telus Convention Centres' journalistic, advertising, marketing, promotional, archival and/or security activities;
You consent to such photography, filming and/or recording, including the use of UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) / drone which may be used to capture footage and will be flown in close proximity on site. And to any use, in any and all media, throughout the world in perpetuity, without compensation to you, of your appearance, voice and/or name for the above-noted purposes;
You understand that all photography, filming and/or recording will be done in reliance on these consents given by you by entering Karuta Alley Market; and To protect, among other things, the personal information of our attendees, you agree: (i) not to reproduce, perform, display or upload any photographs, videos and/or recordings, that you may take or record while at the Karuta Alley Market; and (ii) upon our request, to immediately remove and/or delete any and all such photographs, videos and/or recording online or from any other media.

You acknowledge and agree that your attendance at Karuta Alley Market is conditional upon your compliance with all Rules, including for greater certainty, all applicable laws, by-laws and posted facility rules (including these rules and terms of entry).
We reserve the right to deny admission or to require a person already admitted to leave Karuta Alley Market, without refund, liability or compensation if we consider that the circumstances require.
We may from time to time, without prior notice and without refund, liability or compensation, change the operating hours of Karuta Alley Market or any attraction, close Karuta Alley Market or any part of it temporarily, restrict the number of persons having access to Karuta Alley Market, and/or suspend or cancel any attraction or entertainment program if we consider that the circumstances so require.
Karuta Alley Market ‘Rules’ and ‘Terms of Entry’ are subject to change without notice. From time to time, changes may be made to these Rules and Guidelines to, for example, reflect changes in our legal or regulatory obligations. Revised versions of these Rules and Guidelines will be posted on this website. Accordingly, we encourage each of our attendees to refer back to it on a regular basis prior to attending Karuta Alley Market.
Under no circumstances will the Telus Convention Centre be responsible for any loss, injury (including personal injury), damages or liability that may arise out of or is in any way connected to an Event or your attendance at Karuta Alley Market.
You hereby waive and release all claims or actions against the Telus Convention Centre or any of its sponsors, as well as against any of the respective affiliates, directors, officers, employees and volunteers of the Telus Convention Centre or its sponsors, for any loss, injury (including personal injury), damages or liability that may arise out of or is any way connected to an Event or your attendance at Karuta Alley Market, regardless of whether such loss, injury, damages or liability arises from negligence, libel, defamation, loss of privacy, or otherwise.

● All forms and sizes of knives, scissors, bladed items, or items that can be used as weapons
● Firearms/slingshots/ammunition
● Conducted Energy Weapons (e.g. Taser)
● Replica firearms/weapons including items that appear to be firearms
● Hand tools/electric tools
● Alcohol
● Drugs/drug paraphernalia/illegal substances
● UAV’s/Drones/Radio Controlled devices (Unless Approved by the Telus Convention Centre)
● Skateboards/Segway’s/hoverboards
● Mace/pepper spray/bear spray
● Paint/markers
● Fireworks, sparklers, flares, and smoke-emitting devices
● Explosives/flammable items/ignition devices
● Compressed and/or liquid gas/aerosol sprays (except personal care products, sunscreen, insect repellent)
● Corrosive chemicals/flammable substances
● Bicycles or scooters
● Light emitting devices (lasers)
● Flags, banners, signs, voice amplification devices
● Air horns/artificial noisemakers
● Sporting Goods (e.g., baseball bats, hockey sticks, golf clubs, bows and arrows)
● Gas Masks, and masks that disguise the identity of an individual (face masks and coverings related to COVID-19 or health and safety are permitted).
● Pets/other animals except dogs with an Alberta Service Dog Identification Card (or another provincial equivalent). Emotional Support Animals are not permitted during Karuta Alley Market
● Materials or clothing of an extremist/offensive /discriminatory nature
● Padlocks, chains, cables/zip ties, handcuffs, spiked jewelry or clothing
● Flyers/samples/promotional items/giveaways
● Glass containers /other containers in which their contents cannot be easily checked
● Articles of clothing with offensive language/images
● Any item deemed a danger/threat to public order or safety
